Messenger caused a stir when it became a stand-alone app in 2015. But as excitement settled, the platform needed to beef up its offering in order to outpace more familiar messaging tools. 

 
 

What we’ve accomplished:

 

1. Brief

Launch new features that Facebook was adding to Messenger while building the Messenger brand as it had been spun off from Facebook to become its own brand.

 

2. Strategy

Written communication has its limits, sometimes words and punctuation aren't enough to get your messages and thoughts across. How many times did you have a misunderstanding because you couldn’t convey the right tone? Every new feature is a way for people to make sure they're better understood when they chat with their friends.

 

3. Idea

Say it better. You can say a lot of things when using messaging apps but with Messenger and all its new features, you can say it better. Using each new feature as a building block for the overall brand message, we would show people how each new feature would help them better communicate.
